We are surrounded by photographs everyday.

Many times we overlook them, as our world is heavily saturated in images. Then there are the times when an image can stop us in our tracks, make us think, evoke a feeling within us - ultimately having some sort of effect on our psyche.

This is the stuff I love. This is what moves my soul. This is why I do this.

I am always striving to create a piece of art that tells a story and sparks some wonder into the eyes of the viewer. I mean seriously wow, cameras have the power to capture a moment and generate a feeling! Those photographs leave us with nothing short of an eternal memory. Really though, how magical is that?!

Ever since I can remember I’ve been overly enamored with going through old photographs. Coming across the many years of family members growing up, what life looked like then, who we spent our time with, even noticing how photographs or the way we took/posed for pictures evolved over the years.

Sometime in high school I started to become more intrigued with the art of photography. Then in my senior year I used up my one elective choice on the advanced art class. I quickly became overwhelmed by the fact that I was the only one that wasn’t planning to go to art school - so naturally, I tried to drop out of the class. Luckily for me, my teacher convinced me to stay by zeroing in on what I was most interested in and giving me free reign to do more of that. And so this began the beginning of taking lots and lots of photos (most of which were very shitty) BUT the journey also awakened an undiscovered passion of connecting with people, and getting an intimate opportunity to capture their essence through film!

I love art and I love life, and to me, photography is a bridge that connects both these worlds. I will forever be swirling around in my happy place when I get to capture and create with my camera.

Life moves rapidly,

it’s so easy to forget the little moments and the times you felt happiness. Photographs can be so impactful for us. They have the ability to become a gateway to brighten our day, warm our hearts, and connect us back to who we are.
